The UK and Qatar have launched a project to expand cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence

The UK and Qatar have announced the establishment of a joint research group on artificial intelligence (AI). The initiative aims to develop a roadmap for collaboration between the two countries on AI that will deliver mutual benefits.

The research will be led by Queen Mary University of London in partnership with Hamad bin Khalifa University in Qatar. The project has been developed in collaboration with the Qatar Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Qatar Ministry of Communications and Information Technology’s AI Committee, the Qatar Research, Development and Innovation Council, and the British Embassy in Doha. Funding is provided by the UK Government’s Gulf Strategy Fund.

The partnership opens up new opportunities to share knowledge, develop innovative solutions and shape joint standards in AI. For businesses and academic institutions, this means increased international collaboration, access to new markets and participation in cutting-edge research.
