Hong Kong: record foreign investment in 2024

Hong Kong achieved record levels of foreign direct investment (FDI) in 2024. Invest Hong Kong (InvestHK) assisted 539 overseas and mainland companies to set up or expand their businesses in the region, an increase of 41% year-on-year.

Around HK$67.7 billion (US$8.6 billion), a record high and 10% higher than 2023.

• Jobs Created:

Companies plan to create 6,864 jobs in the first year of operations, up 67% from 2023.
