The UAE division of one of the largest animation studios was preparing to launch a new animated series, strategically important for its international portfolio. The production hinged on a single external contractor — the cartoon director — whose creative output would form the core IP of the entire project. The client needed an English-law contract that delivered a clean, enforceable transfer of every piece of content created during the engagement, with terms compatible with both UAE and international IP rules. Payment and invoicing had to align with local tax requirements, and the contractual workflow needed to capture digital project management tools used by the team — before production kick-off could proceed.

We structured the director engagement end-to-end, from IP architecture to payment mechanics:
